Description by the author: "The scene was rendered with Scanline renderer. A yellowish direct light was used as the sun and a skylight was set to a multiplier of 0.4. Additionally I added an omni light on the left behind the camera in order to fake radiosity.
The terrain is a displaced plane which is a little bit rotated to simulate the overhang. I used a GroundWiz map in the diffuse slot and copied it additionally into the bump slot and gave it 100 %."
